This race takes place on a linear route starting at Marsden Cricket club, going over Black Hill, Bleaklow (Higher Shelf Stones), Kinder Scout before finishing in Edale village.
Runners need to be self-sufficient for the race and have their own transport arrangements to get to the start and away from the finish.
Registration opens at 07:00 and the race starts 08:30
There are checkpoints on the route. Each runner must visit every check point in order. Cut offs are 11:00 Crowden. 13:00 Snake Summit
Every runner must carry or wear full FRA standard kit plus additional items for the duration of the race. A full kit check will take place at registration. The required kit is: Full waterproof jacket (with hood) and bottoms (both with taped seams), hat and gloves, map (the Dark Peak map which just excludes Marsden is acceptable) compass, whistle and some emergency food plus shoes suitable for fell running, long sleeved top, head torch, emergency "survival" bag (foil or plastic)
All profits from the race will go to Woodhead Mountain Rescue Team who manage the event on the day.
This event is dependent on the Snake Pass being open for traffic to access Snake Summit on the day.
