Falmouth Road Runners are pleased, after an absence of almost 3 years, to be hosting the annual Mob Match on Sunday 27th November 2022.
The 5-mile road race, now in its 34th year, is a team event open to runners in clubs affiliated to the Cornwall Road Running Group but also to those who just wish to run around the magnificent Pendennis Headland, along Falmouth's iconic seafront - passing the renowned Gyllyngvase and Swanpool beaches - before returning to the race headquarters, the impressive Falmouth Hotel.
Clubs in the CRRG will be notified prior to the race of which division they are in for the Mob Match, based on EA affiliated club member numbers.
Following the race there will be the presentation of trophies to winning teams in conjunction with CRRG awards to individuals who have completed 8 or more GP races in the Cornwall Glass sponsored series. If you have only done 7 the Cornish Marathon, last in the series, is still open.
- Time: 10.30am
- Start: Castle Drive, just below entrance to Pendennis Castle
- Finish: Outside Falmouth Hotel
- Minimum age: 16 (on race day)
- Race cut-off time: 75 minutes
- No water station due to race distance, but runners are welcome to bring a handheld. Please be mindful of bottle disposal and do not discard mid-race.
- Memento for all runners
- First aid cover provided
- Toilets outside of Falmouth Hotel and public toilets on Castle Beach.
- Car parking on surrounding roads (not outside the hotel please) and local car parks - including Gyllyngvase (10/15 minute walk from race HQ) and the Dell (10 minute walk from race HQ).
- No parking in the hotel grounds please.
- Bag drop at race HQ.
The race is chip timed and whilst we are aware that many runners are keen to keep race numbers (bibs), in the interests of the environment (and costs) it would be really appreciated if you could return them following the race. There will be collecting boxes in the baggage drop, the presentation area and water station at the finish.
