For the last 18 years Sidmouth Running Club have been organising the 22 mile Exe to Axe race along the Coast Path from Exmouth to Seaton. 2023 sees the 50th anniversary of the South West Coast Path Association. To celebrate this we are introducing a marathon option.
In addition to the running events, we also are opening both the marathon and the 22mile events to walkers to enjoy the beautiful scenery. (Please note this entry page is for the walking event, if you wish to enter the running races click here).
Both walks are self-navigating starting at 8am from Foxes Hole Car Park, Marine Drive, Exmouth, EX8 2AY. Both routes follow the Coast Path to the Lime Kiln car park in Budleigh Salterton. From there the route splits. The marathon follows the River Otter to the far side of Otterton, crosses the river and heads back down to join up with the Coast Path all the way to the finish at Axe Yacht Club at the eastern end of Seaton sea front. The 22 milers follow the Coast path all the way to the finish.
Rules, information and route description can be found on our website: sidmouthrunningclub.co.uk
