The Fireworks 500 is a 500m open water swim, at Capernwray Dive Centre near Lancaster. Starting on the rocket, swimmers can race or leisurely complete one lap (500m) of the quarry. It's long enough for you to experience the beauty of night swimming in safe secure surroundings but short enough that you get to the end before the chill sets in!
Following the swim, you can warm up with a hot chocolate and then enjoy the fireworks display. If you're looking for something different and memorable, then you've come to the right place.

What do I need to enter?
Wet suits are recommended. If you are swimming in skins then previous experience is requested by form of email.
We would also recommend neoprene hats, socks and gloves. The minimum age for competitors is 10 on the day of the event.
