8/6/23: Entries have now closed. There will be limited EOD for the Yellow course only.
5/6/23: Map numbers for courses with multiple age classes are in the Open Courses numbers at the bottom, choose and pay for the course you want from the availability then email Lindsey Knox to let her know which age class you want this switched to.
Update 19/5/23:
We'll be pleased to offer any WRE Elite Sprint runner a non-competitive run on one of the urban courses at a fixed cost of £5 per run payable on the day of the event. You need to enter the urban course you want on a separate entry form, request an Open Start for convenience and key in a discount code which you can obtain by first emailing Lindsey (abbeys2023@roxburghreivers.org.uk).
Important update 13/4/23:
To gain UKOL, UKUL and/or SOUL points M/W18,20, 21 and 35 must do the WRE Elite Sprint courses. This is a change to the original information and has been done after consultation with the 3 people who oversee the various leagues. WRE entrants will need IOF IDs to gain IOF ranking points.
M/W 18-35 wishing a longer run and who aren't bothered about UKOL ranking or UKUL/SOUL points should enter Urban Courses MO or WO as normal.
All other age classes are unaffected by this change.

This is an event over two days, held in the Scottish Borders. The towns Kelso and Jedburgh were both built round 12th Century abbeys, which have been ruined since the time of the Reformation. Kelso is a market town, the old part around a large square, with the edge of town bordered by pleasant walks along the River Tweed. The old centre of Jedburgh is on an ever-steepening hill and is also steeped in history. The prison is open to visitors, but the local tradition of Jethart Justice meant hang first, trial later – this was the centre of Border Reivers country after all, near the frontier with England.
So two fairly contrasting areas for the regular Urban courses, Kelso lending itself to the longer distances, Jedburgh to slightly shorter courses. Both days will have an elite sprint competition in addition to the usual urban classes plus an informal Yellow. Enter the Open Courses 2 - 7 if you don't want to run your age class course.
Worth coming for both days, as lots to do and see in the Borders when not running – and Prizes for combined times over the two days.
