Santa's Stiperstones Stomp - Challenge Walk.
Distance 19 miles in 10 hours
Seasonal festive walk, with festive attire encouraged and a bran tub gift (not exceeding £3 ).
There will be basic refreshment/hot drink at Hope checkpoint, snacks and mince pies at Stiperstones Inn and a simple light meal at the finish, back in Minsterley.
Start Time 08.00-08.30 and Runners 9.00
Start from Minsterley Parish Hall, on A488 Bishop's Castle Road 12 miles south of Shrewsbury, Grid ref SJ375025, Post Code SY5 0EH.
Route:
From Minsterley, a crescent walk circumnavigating the rocky Stiperstones Ridge calling at Hope Village Hall and the Stiperstones Inn.
General information:
Under 18’s to be accompanied by parent/guardian.
Please bring a mug.
Both walkers & runners welcome.
The route is covered on Explorer 216 (Montgomery and Welshpool)
Participants to carry appropriate clothing/equipment for unpredictable winter conditions.
Sorry, no dogs (livestock country)
