Summer Evening Spunch Event - 60/90/120min countryside score course using an enlarged and enhanced extract of OS Explorer map. FREE On-site Parking, Registration, Loos, Start and Finish all at Heaton House Farm (Wedding Venue!) Coppice Side, Rushton Spencer, Macclesfield SK11 0RD. Sensibly priced food, drink and much route analysis available after your run! Run, jog or walk - suitable for trail runners, park runners, fell runners, adventure racers, orienteers, walkers, and newcomers alike. Great for families and friends to do together. Suitable for all ages and abilities - lots of help available for newcomers.
Start anytime between 1815 and 1900. (For 120min course you must start before 1830 please)
Organised and planned by our man in the South, Guy Lingford, it's yet another new Spunch venue and area! Come and discover this rarely visited little backwater in Cheshire / North Staffs border country - you won't be disappointed. 50ish checkpoints to choose from, spread out across a scenic rural area offering route choice on a network of paths with plentiful views. The area of about 9 sq km is not without hills! But, don't be put off by the hilly label....there will be sympathetic & generous placement of Spunchpoints within easy reach of the event centre for more leisurely travelers. At the other extreme there will again be a 2-hour course option for those who like it large!
Visit as many checkpoints as you can in the time available, S-punching using the MapRun app on your smartphone or Garmin.
