*SPUNCH* Summer Eve Tegg's Nose+ MDOC

Can be done solo, in a pair, or as a team of 3 or more. Each participant needs to put in an individual entry EXCEPT Under 16s who go for free with a paying adult. A waterproof map of the course is provided to ALL participants.

Summer Evening Spunch Event - 60/90/120min countryside score course using both an enlarged and enhanced extract of OS Explorer map and a more detailed specialist orienteering map. On-site Parking, Registration, Loos, Start and Finish all at Tegg's Nose Country Park, Car Park & Tea Room, Macclesfield SK11 0AP. Just 7mins up the hill from Macclesfield town centre, yet with some checkpoints within the Peak District National Park.
Refreshments available from the Tea Room and much route analysis available after your run! Run, jog or walk - suitable for trail runners, park runners, fell runners, adventure runners, orienteers, walkers, and newcomers alike. Great for families and friends to do together. Suitable for all ages and abilities - lots of help available for newcomers.
Start anytime between 1800 and 1900. (For 120min course you must start before 1830 please)
Planned by local living legend Mark McDermott, it's yet another new Spunch venue and area! This time with added map interest, as the courses are part OS map and part O map - will you smash both parts?
50ish checkpoints to choose from, spread out across a scenic rural area offering mush route choice on a network of paths with plentiful views. The area of about 9 sq km is not without hills! But, don't be put.....there will be sympathetic & generous placement of Spunchpoints within easy reach of the event centre for more leisurely travelers. At the other extreme there will again be a 2-hour course option for those who like it large!
Visit as many checkpoints as you can in the time available, S-punching using the MapRun app on your smartphone or Garmin.
Will you collect all the low-hanging fruit around Tegg's Nose or dip into Macc Forest & the National Park? OR BOTH!?
Refreshments will be available from the Tegg's Nose Tea Room after your run / walk.
