From Walberswick Village Hall. Car parking available in nearby public car park (parking charge). A scenic route on the Suffolk coast and inland on heathland footpaths around Minsmere and Dunwich. The route for 2024 will be similar to that of previous years.

Entry fee includes hot drinks at start, food and drinks at checkpoints and meal at finish and a certificate for all finishers. Please note that there is no street parking in Walberswick and that the pay-and-display car park charge is £5.00. Please car share where possible.

Start: 08.00 slow walkers; 08.30 walkers; 09.00 runners; 09.30 fast runners. All to finish by 17.00

All entrants are expected to follow the route description provided (and optional gpx file for GPS users).

The route description and GPX file for both routes will be available at least a week before the event. Substitutions are not permitted.Refunds of £8 (LDWA member) and £16 (non-LDWA member) are possible up to the 10th October 2024.  Please contact the event organiser directly.

As this event takes place in October we are hoping for some lovely early autumn weather, however, participants should be prepared for bad weather and carry the minimum kit of waterproof trousers and jacket, hat, additional warm layer, suitable footwear, map of the route (either downloaded electronically or paper), route description, own mug and any personal food/drink.

Vegetarian food options will be available, and a small amount of vegan food, but if you have any specific food requirements we recommend that you bring your own food. This can be taken to the checkpoints if required. If you have any food allergy please ensure that the event organiser is aware, we cannot guarantee that food supplied will be allergen free.

Under-18-year-olds must be accompanied at all times by a responsible adult and bring with them to the event a completed Parental Consent Form, please email the organiser to request a form.

Dogs, with third-party insurance, on a lead and under control at all times, are allowed but are not permitted in the checkpoint buildings.
