The New Year Sprint is a handicapped race for professional and amateur athletes. Athletes of all standards and ages have competed for this historic title and event with unbroken continuity since it’s inception in 1870. The New Year Sprint is the blue riband event on the professional circuit calendar and will be held for the 155th time at Grangemouth Stadium on the 6th of January 2024!
- For all adult races the minimum age is 16 on the 31st December 2023.
- For the Youth races all competitors must be minimum 9 and a maximum of 15 on the 31st December 2023.
- Masters must be 35+ on 1st January 2024.
