A run round the ‘Pendle Massif’ visiting parts of the hill less visited by other races. The terrain is a mixture of defined path and boggy moorland trod with some steep climbs, grassy descents and some route choice. The route changes slightly on a year by year basis with 2 regular routes being used most often. The changes are at the request of local land owners/stakeholders.
The races early spring positioning mean the weather quite frequently plays its part from ridiculously warm conditions to waist deep snow – all have been enjoyed in recent years.
The route and distance are not suitable for novice runners in bad weather/poor visibility.
