A 26.2+ mile, 4 lap, non competitive laps (2 laps for half marathon) for individuals in Crosby , Liverpool, Merseyside , on gently undulating paths and pavements, with some coastal running. Some narrow sections of path, hence limit on entries. We have no priority for runners on paths, road crossings, runners must respect all other users.
This event will hopefully be as you will have the option to wear your football club top on the event and take 5 penalties to win the Marine Mersey Marathon Penalty Cup !
We also look at have a Charity evening event at the same location for the “Speedo Mick Foundation”, to be confirmed.
We hope to make this a positive experience to celebrate the positives of running with proceeds going to charity.
Start: 9.00am for Marathon and 09:30 for half marathon, from Crosby, Merseyside, (College Rd, Liverpool L23 3AS).
Last lap start by 2:30pm
Finish: by 4:pm, contact us if you want to start early.
Bespoke Medal.
Dogs are not in general allowed.
Runners must be aged 18 or over on the event date.
No Headphones, as the event takes place on public paths and roads..
Facilities: Free Toilets . Checkpoint every lap with water, with flat Coke, snacks (feel free to leave personal food/drink at checkpoint). Second checkpoint course will have water. Cup free event , please bring your own bottle/mug/bladder.
We hope to provide baggage storage (no liability accepted).
At Marine AFC there is the Marine AFC Club Bistro with tea , coffee and food available to purchase.
In event of cancellation/postponement, entries can be: deferred to a re-arranged date; or refunded (less administration fees); or donated to charity.
