Entries:
Only pre-entries are allowed with no entry on the day. Entry fees are £8 for adults, £4 for juniors (under 21) and students. Please note, these fees are the same for individuals, pairs or small groups. e.g. two adults running together would pay just £8, not £16. There is space on the entry page to add details of any other persons sharing your entry. Runners who are not members of British Orienteering are charged £9.
If you are a newcomer to the sport and do not have a an orienteering dibber (to record visiting the controls, also called an SI-Card) then please indicate that you need to borrow an SI-Card.

All course lengths are subject to final controlling. Please note that the courses are all different to the night event courses on the previous evening, although there may be a very slight overlap of the areas used.
Controls (including the finish) are in beacon mode so they can be punched contactlessly if you have a SIAC. This does not apply to the dibbers available for hire.
Terrain:
Map A4 5m contour. Courses White-Blue scale 1:7500. Brown scale 1:10000
An area of typical South Lakeland terrain with many contrasting features, mature plantation, mixed woodland of varying runnability, some open and felled areas.
Start:
15 minutes start blocks, starts between 10.30 and 12.30. Courses close at 14.15. If in any doubt abouut your ability to complete by that time please make sure to start early.
The start is passed on the way from parking to the finish/assembly area. It is 500m from assembly/finish.
White and Yellow course competitors will be allowed to look at their maps before they start.
Starting times are between 10.30 and 12:30. Courses close at 14.15 and controls will be removed after this time.
Pre-entered runners may proceed straight to the start. Anyone borrowing a dibber for the event may collect it from the registration/download tent.

Results will not be displayed during the event but will be on the website www.sroc.org in the evening.

First Aid – a first aid kit will be available at download for people to self administer.

Please park on the forest road as directed. There will be a parking fee of £2. No exit before 12. Maximum 1 km walk to assembly/finish area. If this would pose a problem and you require priority parking, please contact the organiser juicymoseley@hotmail.com
Dogs are allowed on leads, but not on courses.

This is a rugged lakeland area in Winter. Come prepared for the expected weather conditions and please note that waterproof jackets may be made compulsory. All runners should carry a whistle
You must report to the finish and download after the event, even if you retire.
