The annual Holymoorside 10k Road Race and 2k Fun Run will take place in the picturesque Derbyshire village of Holymoorside.
The 10k race passes through scenic Derbyshire countryside, along quiet country lanes. Starting at the Village Hall, the course runs uphill for 4km and then winds across the moor before descending back into the village with a fast, downhill finish. The race is run on the road with a lap of the village playing fields at the finish. The race starts at 10.30am and is open to runners aged 15 and over.
The 10k race is run under UKA rules and is accurately measured. First aid cover and drinks stations are provided as per UKA guidelines. There will be limited changing facilities. There is free parking available in a designated field 5 – 10 mins walk from the start. Please avoid parking on the road and car share wherever possible. The route is fully marshalled. Prizes will be awarded to category winners.
Presentation of trophies will take place outside the Village Hall at approximately 11:30 a.m. as far as possible otherwise prizes will be posted during the following week. Please note that a competitor may not be awarded more than one prize. Subject to availability, all runners will be able to collect a Holymoorside 10k 2024 notepad and pen from near the fnish line.
The Fun Run (entry on the day only) starts at the Village Hall at 10am and is a 2k route around the lovely village playing fields. Entry is open to all and everyone who takes part will receive a medal.
The Holymoorside 10k and Fun Run are organised by 1st Holymoorside Scout Group as part of their fundraising activities. The Scout Group is a registered charity, number 1136758. Scouts will be on hand to provide refreshments, cakes, bacon butties and assistance to runners and their friends and families.
Entering an under-18 runner - if you are entering a runner who is under 18 on race day you must be their parent/guardian.
The parent/guardian needs to register and be logged in as themselves. When making the entry either select the under-18 from the Person to Enter drop-down box if you have previously made an entry for them, otherwise select 'Somebody already registered with SiEntries' or 'Somebody not registered with SiEntries' as applicable.
