Experience the beautiful Leicestershire scenery on our 16 mile race taking in the Leicestershire three Peaks, this is circular trail route around the outstanding Charnwood countryside. You will tackle Bardon Hill (Leicestershire’s highest point ) - 278 meters, Old John in Bradgate - 254 meters and Beacon Hill - 248 meters.
Along the way you will pass, gnarled oak trees, some of the oldest rocks in Britain, visit historic deer parks and take in some spectacular views. Charnwood Forest is famed for its craggy hills and dry stone walls, but is also rich in wildlife. Look out for buzzards circling on the updrafts from the hills.
Race Distance:
Approximate - 16 miles
Terrain:
Hill peaks, field, paths and trails. Inclines and uneven terrain, gates, stiles, stepping stones and road crossings. Some spots on the route could be quite uneven on the foot and quite boggy at times.
Elevation:
Approximate 2700ft
What's Included:
There will be a medal awarded for each finisher with a goody bag for the top 3 female and male finishers.
