The course starts in Bampton Village and follows an out and back course along the shores of Haweswater in a remote and dramatic mountain valley.
This is a perfect race for those training for full marathons like London, Manchester and Edinburgh.
Race registration and toilets are at the Village Hall at Bampton.
There is parking at the village hall and village green, however, this is limited and to reduce the environmental damage, competitors are asked to car share as much as possible. The parking will be coordinated by marshals so please follow their instructions and please do not park on the race route or in the village! There is a suggested donation of £5 per car for parking which will be donated to local charities.
The race starts at 11.30am and the race safety briefing will take place at 11.10am outside the Village Hall before the race start. The race start is a 5-10 minute walk from where the briefing will take place.
Race numbers can be collected from 9.30 am.
All finishers will receive a mug which they can get filled with hot tea or coffee and a delicious slice of Traybake flapjack from Traybakes (vegan option also available).
