New for 2024: Signpost Challenge Hike is hosted by South Manchester LDWA.

Based in Marple, near Stockport, this hilly and scenic route heads out to the North & East of Marple, passing over Werneth Low, Cown Edge, Lantern Pike & Chinley Churn in the High Peak before returning to Marple via the Goyt Valley way. If the weather is kind, you will see some fine views over Manchester, the South Pennines and the Peak District. The route also passes through fascinating areas of Industrial Heritage and crosses the amazing Millennium walkway in New Mills. In addition, you will have the challenge of spotting some of the iconic green PNFS footpath signs along the way.

There is a choice of 2 routes, 24 miles/4,300ft and 18 miles/3000ft in 10 hours.

There will be 4 outdoor CPs with drinks and snacks. Please bring a mug for drinks.
