The CS Lewis 5 Mile Challenge, formerly known as the Connswater 5 Mile Challenge, is a multi-terrain race.
The course is an out and back route. The race starts from the CS Lewis Square. From there, the course follows the Greenway leading to Victoria Park. In the park, the runners will be taken on four different loops over various surfaces (trail, grass and concrete). Then the runners will leave the park and make it back to the CS Lewis Square along the Greenway.
The CS Lewis Square is named after the illustrious East Belfast born author of the Chronicles of Narnia. The Square offers an environment conducive to a festive pre and post-race atmosphere.
Signs with CS Lewis quotes will be peppered around the course to inspire the runners and help all the participants with completing their challenge.
There will be prizes for the top three female and male runners as well as for the female and male age category winners. There will also be plenty spot prizes given randomly.
