NEW RACES FOR 2025!

Introducing two new races to the Res's family! Along with the original 10 Res, we are now offering a 5 Res and a 15 Res route.

The 5 Res route is a 25k circular with 710 meters of ascent. You won't be missing the infamous boulder field but once passed, the route is easy going. 2 Checkpoints to support you along the way including an indoor venue at Castleshaw Outdoor centre before you head back to the Rugby Club.

The 10 Res route is the original route of the family. 26 off road miles with over 1300 meters of climbing. You'll be doing the boulder field, paving slabs, bogs, bogs and more bogs before you end up back at the rugby club for pie and peas. 3 checkpoints with Crowden now indoors and of course, you'll get to enjoy the famous CraggRunner 'tipple'.

The 15 Res Ultra Marathon is the spicier route of the 3 routes. 60 kilometers with 1876 meters of climbing. You'll get 12 hours to complete, but keep an eye on the cut offs, though. 5 checkpoints will keep you going with 3 indoor ones and of course, the welcome pie and peas at the finish.

Note that none of the routes are marked and participants will need to be able to navigate themselves around their chosen route.

For 2025, we will be using the good people of Open Tracking to provide trackers for the event. Your friends and family will be able to follow your progress around the route with a link provided before the event, but more importantly so will we. In the event of bad winter weather they will help to enable us to ensure your safety.
