Routes of 22 and 15 miles, catering for both walkers and runners. The routes will be broadly consistent with previous years but may be subject to some minor changes.
Please note that this is a tough event with a substantial amount of climbing and is therefore not suitable for beginners. There is a full route description available from the website: thehebden.co.uk
Start:
Mass start at 8.00am for both routes. All entrants must finish in line with stated chop times which will be in place and enforced based on 9 hours maximum time, cognisant of daylight hours in January.
Fees:
£20.00 per entry inclusive of refreshments at the start and en route, meal at finish and transport for retirees.
Entrants
All entrants welcome but there is a limit of 500 entrants, once the entry limit has been reached a waiting list will open. The event has sold out for the last few years. Early entry advisable.
Registration:
Registration at St Michaels Church Hall, Mytholmroyd from 6.30am.
Car parking at Mytholmroyd Community Centre, Mytholmroyd HX7 5DY GR SE011259 and other locations.
Bus stops and train station are close by.
Maps:
1:25000 Outdoor Leisure Map 21 - South Pennines is recommended.
Walked digital mapping on event website for use on OS maps app and Garmin devices.
Essential Items:
All entrants are advised to wear appropriate clothing for winter conditions and to carry the recommended kit. Some navigational ability is required.
Under 18 year olds must be walking with an adult.
Dogs:
Dogs allowed but must be on a short lead at all times while on event but not allowed in event HQ.
Transfers will be allowed up to 15th December.
