The Eight Stations Ultra is a trail running event, so don’t expect it to be easy under foot. You will encounter mud, rocks, trees, and more mud! With a 13 hour cutoff, the event is also suitable for quick walkers.
There is 3322 ft of elevation over the 30 mile route, so if you’re looking for a nice flat race this one probably isn’t for you!
Starting in Whitby you'll make your way down the Esk Valley Railway Line, before joining the North Yorkshire Moor Railway Line, eventually finishing in Pickering. You'll pass eight Railway Stations - the hint is in the name.
Much of the route runs alongside the railway so you may spot a steam train or two!
