Start and finish - The Bungalow (GR396867)
Race starts at 9.30am. Sign on at The Bungalow from 8.30 to 9.15.
The route has an eastern and a western loop passing through the Bungalow. Heading east initially the route visits the summits of Clagh Ouyr, Slieau Lhean, Cronk Y Vaare and Mullagh Ouyr, dropping to the valleys and mines between them. The longer western loop is then begun, passing over Creg-y-Cowin, Ballachrink, The Creg, Colden, Carraghan, Beinn-y-Phott and finally the long climb over Snaefell from the Millenium Bridge, with a fast descent back to The Bungalow.
This race is for Matt McSevney and there will be a suitably placed dram to raise a glass to him. Matt was a keen fell runner and served on the committee. He was tragically killed by a car driver whilst cycling to work in October 2017.
Notes for recceing: The route includes two sections of private land which can only be accessed on race day. These sections are clearly shown on the route map and can be avoided using minor roads or track.

The route covers large sections of open fell without paths and includes some very steep terrain. Self-navigation skills are required.
Minimum age of entry is 18 years (but must turn 19 by 31st December ).
Races are held under FRA rules, please read these here . Waterproof whole body cover (with hood and taped seams), hat, gloves, map and compass suitable for navigation, whistle and emergency food must be worn/carried by runners.
The race is a counter for the Callin Wild Manx Fell Running league. Please note that to be eligible for the league you must join MFR or a suitable IoM athletics club by 18/06/2024, and also cover a marshal slot in 2024.
