She Who Walks: Muker to Keld

A relaxed hike on rights of way around Muker aimed at encouraging increased female participation in walking. Starting in Muker, we will follow footpaths along the Swale through Hartlakes to Keld. We will stop at Keld for a lunch break and there are public toilets in the village (bring 20p).
There is a short road section from Keld before we follow a track known as the Corpse Road over Kisdon and back to Muker. This is the old Corpse Road which led from Keld to the nearest burial ground at Grinton, until St Mary's church was built in Muker in 1580.
Please note this is a FEMALE ONLY guided walk.
Highlights include:
- Lead by a qualified Hill and Moorland Leader
- Small group of 12 max
- Optional cafe visit after the walk

You must be 18+ to enter this event.
You will need:
- Walking boots and thick socks
- Warm clothing. Jeans should be avoided. A warm base layer and a fleece mid layer is recommended
- Waterproof jacket and trousers
- Gloves and hat
- Spare top layer in your pack
- Snacks and drinks in an easy to find section of your bag. We recommend bringing at least 500ml of drinks with you
- Fully charged mobile phone
- Any personal medication needed
- A comfortable back pack to carry your own kit. You may wish to consider putting things inside a plastic bag or other waterproof bag inside your back pack
- Packed lunch
