Weekend 9 is back for 2025 with the original loaded and runner/clean fatigue categories and a brand new category for walkers/unloaded!
What is it?
A 25.5km Run, TAB, YOMP, Hike Walk in the Howgill Fells.
Route:
The route is 25 km long, an out and back route in the Howgill fells and follows the original 23 Special Air Service final test route known to recruits as "Weekend 9."
The route is fully way marked so there is no navigation required, there will be a GPX file available to download for the technically minded. The terrain is a mixture of fell land, tracks and footpaths.
Competitors will make their way through a number of checkpoints, but these are not checkpoints with snacks or food, we expect competitors to be self-sufficient. These check points will be manned by our staff and are there for us to check whether you are ok to continue.
There are cut off times, they are very generous, if you have concerns about this please send us an email, (address below.)

You will get to push yourself knowing you have a first class DS team, mountain safety team and mountain medical team backing you up.
