If you DO NOT have an entry PLEASE DO NOT ENTER, otherwise your entry will be cancelled, your entry fee will be returned to you less an admin fee of £5 and a chance of a future entry in the Lakeland 100/50 will be compromised.

The recce days always prove extremely popular and will be repeated to allow you to familiarise yourself with the course and meet your friends and fellow runners! Each recce day costs £30 to register and this includes the coach transport, medical support and 'basic' refreshments at checkpoints. Full details will be sent out 1 week prior to each of the dates.
Sun 10th November 2024 – Recce 1 - Coniston - Buttermere
Sat 18th January 2025 – Recce 2, the evening recce - Ambleside - Coniston
Sun 23rd March 2025 – Recce 3 - Buttermere - Dalemain
Sun 1st June 2025 – Recce 4 - Pooley Bridge - Ambleside

RECCE 4 - POOLEY BRIDGE TO AMBLESIDE
This is part of the 50 and 100 course and is 26 miles in total from Pooley Bridge to Ambleside. It is the first "half" of the Lakeland 50 route, taking in the climbs to Mardale Head & Kentmere before heading to Ambleside. Full kit is required as per event website and there are cut off times in place at the checkpoints so you must ensure you are fit enough to make these cut offs prior to starting the recce.
