*SPUNCH* Compstall & the Etherow Valley
Can be done solo, in a pair, or as a team of 3 or more. Each participant needs to put in an individual entry EXCEPT juniors under 18 who can go for free with a paying adult. Minimum age 14. Juniors aged 14-17 go for free but must run with a parent or guardian over 21. A waterproof map of the course is provided to ALL participants.

Saturday Afternoon Countryside Spunch Event - 1/2/3 hour score course options exploring the slopes and woodland trails around Compstall & the beautiful Etherow Valley. Start, Finish, Food & Drink all at the community owned Northumberland Arms, 64 Compstall Road, Marple Bridge, Stockport, SK6 5HD.
Navigating with an enhanced and enlarged OS Map.
Just East of Stockport and on the edge of the Peak District. 10 mins from M60 J25. 30 mins from M6 J19-20. Convenient for most of Greater Manchester, Glossop, Buxton, Macclesfield, Wilmslow etc.
Run, jog or walk - suitable for trail runners, park runners, road runners, fell runners, adventure runners, orienteers, walkers, and newcomers alike. Great for families and friends to do together. Suitable for all ages and abilities - lots of help available for newcomers.
Start anytime between 1230 pm & 2pm. Registration open from 1230pm. (1hr course first start 1pm. 3hr course last start 130pm)
3k to 33k, the choice is yours!
Visit as many checkpoints as you can in the time available, S-punching using the MapRun app on your smartphone, Garmin or Apple Watch.
A new Spunch venue and area centred on the excellent community owned Northumberland Arms, conveniently located to allow exploration of the hills, valleys and woodlands of the Etherow Valley. With both hilly and less hilly options available, you might visit Ernocroft Wood, the Compstall Nature Reserve, and the surrounding hills, or follow more modest routes around Brabyns Park and the River Goyt.
Even locals may discover parts that they don't normally reach!
Everything at or near the pub event centre. Food and drink from the pub after your run / walk, to be enjoyed either indoors or outdoors (weather permitting).
With 80+ Spunchpoints to go for, and a 3 hour option to consider, could you get the lot?!
