This is the second year of the Carsington Hill Race on the evening of Friday 6th June 2025 - organised by Friends of St Margarets in aid of the development of village facilities. Sponsored by Longcliffe and supported by Severn Trent Water..
Registration from 6pm on Friday 6th June in the Village Hub at St Margaret’s Church, in Carsington Village.
Start at 7pm
The route features a downhill start and finish and a tour of the ancient mined landscape and modern turbines of Carsington Pasture, with views across the Peak District and Carsington Water. It includes steep hills, rough pasture, footpaths, tracks and two road crossings.

NO DOGS ALLOWED ON THE RACE.
It is 9.5 km/6 miles, with 267m/875ft of ascent. It will be run under FRA rules. FRA Race Licence Number 2025-9441. Minimum age 17.
Food, cake and bar available before and afterwards at the Village Hub in St Margaret’s Church.
