Welcome to the second year of LRC Tees Trailtastic. Our relaxed trail running event in County Durham that is for people wanting an off road adventure, rather than a race.
New for 2025
We will have two trail running events this year - a 9mile circular course and a 3.5 mile event.
The 9 mile circular course takes you along sections of the gorgeous Teesdale Way and is 95% off road; it follows rolling terrain and has a few gentle inclines and descents.
The 3.5mile event follows the same trails as the longer event but loops back around before the river crossing.
All the events start and finish at the TCR Hub in Barnard Castle. There are toilets at the hub along with car parking a short walk away but no changing facilities. All valuables will need to be left in your car or with a spectator with you.
This event welcomes walk runners but there will be a cut off time of 3hrs.
There will be two aid stations on the course providing water and refreshments from Precision Fuel & Hydration. If you prefer to use your own fuel please carry that with you.
We encourage people to car share so if you are happy to carpool please let us know and we will help coordinate people.
Every participant will receive a LRC Tees Trailtastic wooden coaster at the finish line.
Runners must be 17 or over, and the race is licensed by the TRA and is run under UK Athletics rules.
