This is a hard race which is the summer version of our brutal Winter Cheviot Goat. Let's just get that out of the way before you read any further.  You will have to prepare physically and mentally for the big day.  In return, if you complete it, it'll be the experience of a life time.  Only enter this event if you have ultra-running experience and are well aware of how to deal with harsh conditions in the mountains and hills.

Cold Brew Events in partnership with SCOTT Sports® bring you a true challenge. This 50-mile (ish) ultra-run will test all your abilities as both your mind and body are placed under stress in this unforgiving environment.

Supported by our event team you will traverse a loop of the largest hills in the border region. This is an area which has the lowest population count per square mile in England. Please note that due to the variables involved on the course, we often can’t confirm the final route until a few days before the event.

Every runner gets a GPS tracker for us to monitor progress and you've got 24 hours to get to the finish.  The outright winner receives the Edwin Nelson Cup.  Prizes for top finishers and a t-shirt and medal for all taking part. Once you've signed up, we'll send you a confirmation email.

Camping is available on the field next to Event HQ. The cost is £25 per tent/van.

Please be aware that under NO circumstances are refunds or deferrals available and you cannot substitute your entry so please make sure you are available to run before entering. This is non-negotiable due to the huge workload and costs attached to making this event as safe as possible in this extreme wilderness. 

Please note the default race start time of Saturday 6am but also in the event of a storm there is a backup start time of 6am Sunday so please cater for this possibility in your event planning.
