Short Walk: 3.5 miles – 270ft of ascent

Starting and finishing at the Dales Bike Centre, we'll follow the Swale for a bit before a climb half way up Fremington Edge. We'll follow a bridle way along the edge before dropping back down and returning through the meadows. We'll warm up with coffee and cake in the Bike Centre after.

Mandatory Kit:

  • Walking boots/shoes and thick socks
  • Full length trousers as some sections of the path could be overgrown. Jeans are not recommended.
  • Waterproof jacket and trousers
  • Warm hat and gloves
  • Spare top layer in your pack
  • Snacks and drinks in an easy to find section of your bag. We recommend bringing at least 500ml of drinks with you per person.
  • Fully charged mobile phone
  • Any personal medication needed
  • A comfortable back pack to carry your own kit. You may wish to consider putting things inside a plastic bag or other waterproof bag inside your back pack
