*SP❤NCH* Knutsford Valentine's Special
Rolling start - Start time to suit you, anytime between 530pm and 730pm. Can be done solo, in a pair, or as a team of 3 or more. Each participant needs to put in an individual entry EXCEPT juniors under 18 who can go for free with a paying adult. Juniors up to age 18 go for FREE but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 21. Juniors aged 16 and above can run alone with parental permission. A waterproof map of the course is provided to ALL participants. Valentine's Special prizes for best performing pairs and family/friends groups of 3+ running together. (You don't have to be romantically involved!) Prizes also for "most eligible" Solos!

60 and 90 min score course options (choose on the night itself). Bag Drop, Loos, Start, Finish, Food & Drink all at Wallop. Urban Street Spunch in the dark for runners & walkers. Family friendly & dog friendly too.
Our night-time no-mud* Street Spunch Series continues - this time in the attractive town of Knutsford, Cheshire. Very handy for Altrincham, Cheadle, Wilmslow, Alderley Edge, Macclesfield, Congleton, Sandbach, Holmes Chapel, Winsford, Middlewich, Northwich, Warrington, and Lymm etc.
Run, jog or walk - suitable for road runners, trail runners, park runners, fell runners, adventure racers, orienteers, walkers, newcomers, and families alike. 2k to 22k, the choice is yours! Great for families and friends to do together. Suitable for all ages and abilities - lots of help available for newcomers. Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a lead and under control at all times.
Start at your convenience anytime between 530pm & 730pm. (Last start for 90min course 715pm). Registration open from 530pm. Wear hi-visibility clothing and bring a torch / head torch!
Navigating with an enhanced and simplified 1:10,000 OO street map, visit as many checkpoints as you can in the time available, S-punching using the MapRun app on your smartphone, Garmin or Apple Watch.
Explore the town's quiet streets and snickets and well surfaced trails through the town's green spaces. Some hilly bits, some less hilly bits, including sections in the historic town centre, Knutsford "Moor" and The Heath. Even locals will likely discover new paths and places!
Excellent Food & Drink available in Wallop after your run / walk. The pub is child friendly. Well behaved dogs welcome too.

Within 10 mins from M6 J19 and M56 J7. Ample and convenient parking within 5 mins walk in town centre car parks.
Catch the Spunch Train! Knutsford Train Station is just a 7 min / 500m walk from Wallop. The station is well served by frequent trains from Manchester, Stockport & Chester and stations in between.
Valentine's Special Spunch Prize Categories:
Though this is a Valentine's Special, you don't have to be romantically involved to take part! Solos, pairs and groups of 3+ all equally welcome!
Prizes will be awarded for "best performances"** in the following categories:
- All female pair or group of 3+
- All male pair or group of 3+
- Mixed gender pair or group of 3+
- Family pair or group of 3+ (including at least one age 0-17)
- Old Romantics pair or group of 3+ with an average age of 55+
- Most eligible solo
- Best turned out pair or group of 3+
- Most entertaining "romantic" or "faux romantic" Spunch Pic submitted on the night by WhatsApp 07751 932749
Your prize category can be self-declared on the night (based on data entered into MapRun). Just enter individually as normal on SiEntries.
If you normally run solo, but would like to be paired up for this event with someone of a similar pace, please contact Andy in advance and we will find you a running mate for the night! (not to be confused with a blind date!)
