What better way to spend your Sunday than running around the beautiful hills above Settle?
The Settle Hills race has always been held on Father’s Day, however in order to accommodate the Pen-y-Ghent fell race (also the Inter-Counties and British Mountain Running Championship race) for this year only the race will be held a week later, so Sunday 22nd June 2025.
The race starts at 11:00 in Settle Market Place and finishes at the Rugby Club.
The race has a bit of everything – grassy paths, tarmac at the beginning and end, rocky paths, tussocky moorland and includes some steep climbs and descents. As you'd expect, the terrain is very uneven in places and the biggest descent is off High Hill towards the end. There is a water and first aid station at the bottom of this hill at the road crossing.
