The Lets Run Adventures Recce will replicate the Hardmoors 60 from Robin Hoods Bay to Filey. It will cover the coastal paths of the Cleveland Way which includes part of the route that some runners will complete in the dark. The start will be at Robin Hoods Bay Station car park, YO22 4RE at 4.00pm on Saturday, 16th August, 2025
The bus will leave the West Avenue, carpark, Filey YO14 9BG at 3.00pm, for those who wish to leave their cars in Filey at the finish. The bus is £15 per person.
Runners will be divided into groups. Each group will be led by experienced run leaders who have all completed this section of the Hardmoors 60. As this is a recce and not a race, there will be plenty of opportunities to re-group, ask questions and seek advice from our leaders to help you on the day of the 'main event'. Each group will have sweepers to support you throughout the evening.
There will be 2 checkpoints with refreshments. The first, at St Hilda's Church, Ravenscar where there will be drinks and refreshments. The next refreshment checkpoint will be at Holbeck carpark, Scarborough. There will be a chance to fill your water bottles at the Sealife Centre, Scarborough, (although this is not on the 60)
When you arrive at Filey, you will receive a warm welcome of homemade soup and hot drinks before you head home.

Mandatory Kit. It is important you carry the required kit. This will help you to prepare for your event in September and we are all aware that in the UK, even the summer months can be cold and wet.
Waterproof jacket with taped seams
Hat or bandana and gloves
At least 500 mils of fluid
Spare food
Head torch with spare batteries
Spare insulating top/jacket
Emergency bivvy bag and foil blanket
Cleveland Way map or OS map
Fully charged Mobile phone and spare battery
Whistle
Soft cup to use at checkpoints
It is suggested that you have the OS Locate and What three words Apps downloaded onto your phone.
