Tayside's early March local event at St Magdalen’s Hill, Perth. Very limited parking will be available in the public car park on Glendevon Road but there is plenty of space on nearby streets. Grid Ref: NO108218, Postcode: PH2 0AS, W3Words: lazy.trade.chimp
Registration, start and finish are all immediately adjacent to the car park.
St Magdalen's Hill is a mixed area, woodland parts are mostly fairly runnable and any bracken and vegetation will be down at this time of year. Open fields around Kirkton and Mailer hills are very runnable and have spectacular views on a fine day but can be quite exposed if weather poor. Cagoules may be required.
No toilets or refreshments will available but there are good facilities at Broxden services, or Tesco on Edinburgh Road.
Registration is open from 10.30 am, start times: mass start at 11am – Long Score (70min); 11.10am - Short Score (45min) so all competitors should be back by 12.10 or earlier.
The short course is particularly suitable for beginners who just wish to follow an easy circuit of St Magdalen hill. Newcomers to the sport are very welcome, and we hope to be able to offer some pre-event briefing and coaching to help.
This is a popular dog walking area, and dogs can be taken if on a lead. Full information on the Club Website HERE.
