Race HQ and starting area is at Bodyke GAA, Tuamgraney. 

The event will have two courses–

Both Courses will have an element of Straightforward Navigation. 

1. Sprint Race (3Hrs Max) – Suitable for those new to team adventure races with easy navigation (this is NOT a marked route and competitors will need to use their map to navigate the course. There will be no marshals on route directing racers. )

2. Endurance Race ( 6 Hrs Max) – Suitable for those looking for a bit more of a challenge

Both races will be for teams of 2, Must stay together at all times on the course no more then 50 meters apart - Either all male/female or mixed teams, all racers must be over 18 years of age.

There will be a special water stage in the race, which will be a short section completed on a stand-up paddleboard (SUP).

Sprint Course – Designed for Beginners

3Hrs Duration

Activities Involved: navigation, Road Biking and Trail running

Non-Technical Course / Easy to Navigate

Pens or pencils and highlighters

You will receive the map at registration.

Any type of bikes are allowed for this race

Endurance Course – Designed to Challenge

6Hrs Duration

Activities Involved: navigation, Mountain Biking and Trail running

Semi -Technical Course / With Moderate Navigation Challenge

Mountain Bike compulsory for this race.

You will ONLY get the map when the race starts.

Bring your own compass

Pens or pencils and highlighters

Racers will be provided with a map and a route card containing check point descriptions (CP) and there coordinates. You will need to mark these points on the map and design a route to navigate between them. Assistance will be available on marking up the map and a master map will also be on display for reference with the CP on it.

 

For the Overall ARI national team Series, this race result will count for one of the 4 Races in the overall series & prizes!

To enter this event you need to have current membership to ARI.  If you are not a member already you can join here 

Parking: There is ample parking available, including space for campervans if you wish to stay overnight before the event.

Facilities: Showers are available. There will be tea, coffee and sandwiches available free after the race, in an effort to avoid waste we would encourage people to bring their own keep-cup or travel cup, 

Water: there will be water available at the start/finish, so please bring your own water bottles or use your bike bottle
