Join the Swimrun revolution! Enter Manchester's very own urban event.

Manchester Swimrun (MSR) is back in Town! As this new sporting sensation sweeps the Globe MSR participants can now experience the excitement of this unique event in a conveniently central location. No need to travel to ÖTILLÖ in Sweden when you've got MSR in Manc! 

The run route takes in paths around the lovely Chorlton Water Park with the swim sections all taking place within the lake itself. 

Distances:  MSR will involve completing 1,500m of open water swimming and 10.5km of trail running. 

Swim One - 325m, Run One - 2.5km
Swim Two - 750m, Run Two - 5km
Swim Three - 350m, Run Three - 2.5km

Timings:  
8-8.30am: Registration open
8.50: Briefing: (Lakeside)
9.00: Swim Start: All competitors

How it Works
The swim start and finish points are at the same place so participants can leave their trainers on land and slip them on for their runs. Alternatively you can wear them while you swim.

Water bottles (compulsory) can be left at transition which will be passed regularly during the race.

The event is manually timed and you will receive a finishing time and race position. Split times, if required, will need to be recorded by participants. 

Facilities: Basic changing, toilets at Water Park.

• Pull-buoy / Hand paddles (optional)
• Swim cap (provided)
• Trail Trainers
