The Linacre Loop is a brand new trail race around the beautiful Derbyshire countryside between Chesterfield and the Peak District. The highlight of this six mile loop is the beautiful Linacre Reservoirs.
The race is self-guided, and runners will receive written instructions to follow on the day. There are no GPX files to follow, and no marshals on the route. You are responsible for your own safety. You will be timed out at the start and back in at the finish.
The Linacre Loop will be run under UK Athletics rules and UKA affiliated runners will be receive a £2 discount on their entry fee. The race costs £5 for UKA affiliated runners, and £7 for unaffiliated runners. The minimum age to take part is 16. No dogs permitted. Refunds will only be given in the event that the race is cancelled.
The race starts and finishes in Wadshelf Village Hall. Runners may choose their own start time. Although the route follows good paths with few hazards, we all know the weather can be unpredictable. It is essential that all participants carry a waterproof jacket, warm layers, and a working mobile phone with the race director's phone number saved (Charlie Knight - 07905 657959).
