Cumbrian Galoppen orienteering event at Burnbanks on the north side of Haweswater
Pre-entry available on all courses. For Yellow and Orange courses there will be some entry on the day, subject to map availability (£11 senior, £4 junior, extra maps £1).

Blue 6.3km, 260m
Green 4.6km, 200m
Short Green 3.7km, 160m
Very Short Green 2.5km, 100m **See note below

Yellow/Novice 2.3km, 90m
**Very Short Green - this is the same course as Short Green but with a loop omitted. If you want to do Very Short Green, enter Short Green and pick up a Short Green map at the start. The map will show which controls to miss. You can decide while on the course whether to take the Very Short Green cut-off.
Map
Brown and Blue use a 1:10000 scale map. All other courses will be at 1:7500. 5m contours. Control Descriptions will be printed on the map and loose descriptions will be available at the start.
Groups and Pairs / Extra Maps
If you are new to orienteering and would like to go round as a group or in a pair, just enter one person and use the option to select any additional maps that your group would like at £1 each.
Dibber Hire
Available by pre-order at no charge, £30 if not returned. To pre-order, leave the SI number blank during entry process, and then collect dibber from Enquiries/Download on the day.
Start and Finish
Start between 10:30 and 12:30. The walk to the start from the car parking field/assembly is approximately 700m with 40m climb. The finish is located close to the start. Clothing may be left near the start and collected on the way back from the finish.
