To enter you must first Log In or Register your Details with SiEntries.

To get a pre-selection list entry just enter as normal. No payment is required at this stage as there is no guarantee of being offered a place. If the Event Organiser is able to offer you a place they will send you an email inviting you to enter. You will then be asked to come back to this site and make your payment to confirm your entry. This annual event is held on the first Saturday in September. This year the race is on Saturday 6th September 2025, starting at 1pm from New Town Park, Claggan, Fort William. Entries limit is 600.

Registration takes place from 9.00 am and you must have your Entry Invitation Receipt, (This will be your invitation acceptance receipt from SiEntries) with you to collect your race pack, bib number, etc. All competitors will receive a t-shirt at registration if they have chosen to do so.

You must be at least 18 years of age on 1st January 2025 and have completed three category AM races. (A definition of Category "AM" races can be found on SHR website or link below). Scottish Hill Runners :: Calendar

Exemptions
Exemptions WILL be granted under the following circumstances:

·        Completion of the Ben Nevis Race in 3hours 30 mins or less in the past 5 years

Other exemptions MAY be granted under the following circumstances: 

·         Completion of similar Mountain / endurance running event in the past 5 years * 

*Other exemption requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis by the committee and must be submitted with supporting evidence.

You can neither substitute your name nor number.

Please check that you are a member of a bona fide Athletics/Running Club before you enter this race. If it is brought to our attention that you do not belong to a club your entry may be withdrawn. No unattached runners are allowed, and you will be removed from the pre-selection list and race.

Save Your Entry - Don't forget to press the SAVE button when you have completed the entry form so that you are added to the Pre-Selection list.  You should then receive an email confirming that you are on the list (as long as you aren't blocking emails from sientries.co.uk).

Once we have checked the entries we will send out invitations to 600 entrants, you will have one week to accept the invitation. Please remember to save and confirm your payment, you will receive an email from SiEntries confirming your payment (as long as you aren't blocking emails from sientries.co.uk). If an invitation is not accepted the place will be passed on to the next person on the waiting list. If you no longer wish to enter please follow the instructions on the email and delete your entry or contact us and we shall do this for you.

Cancellations:
There are NO Refunds for this race from 2025. So NO refunds will be given.  You can cancel your entry via the My Entries tab in SiEntries or this link
