Savour the wonderful scenery whist discovering local legends, mythology and the surrounding nature.
After midday we settle down around our Masai blanket.
While you relax, Stu will serve your afternoon picnic tea.
With a choice of freshly pressed ground coffee, English tea, Earl Grey and soft drink,
accompanied by a selection of tasty sandwiches, garnishes and fruit scone with jam and cream.

Our walk then will continue, seeing and talk about some of the other special features of the Peaks.
Ranger Expeditions Peak District experiences are guided in small groups, so you're never lost in a crowd.

(12km / 7.5miles ) Total ascent 540 metres

AFTERNOON TEA & PICNIC
Items include:
A selection sandwiches (eg cheddar & pickle, brie & cranberry, ham & mustard, smoked salmon & cream cheese, mushroom pate).
Garnishes: Dates, grapes, crisps
Fruit scone with jam, cream & butter
English tea, Earl Grey Tea, milk, sugar
Peak Bean single origin (eg Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda) ground coffee
Orange juice.
Items may not be suitable for participants who follow more restricted diets such as vegan or have specific requirements. While packaged and prepared with care, we cannot guarantee that food is free from nuts, dairy, wheat, soy, shellfish or other allergens. If participants are in any doubt, we recommend bringing your own suitable food items. We fully support the Peak District PSPO in wildfire prevention. Hence all our hot drinks on the hill are provided from flasks.

WHAT TO BRING

Sufficient for a day on the hill in varied summertime conditions.

Worn or in your carried rucksack…

• Waterproof jacket (with hood) 
• Warm layer (worn and spare) eg long sleeve fleece or primaloft
• Wicking base layer (not cotton)
• Hat & gloves
• Walking boots (broken in) or trail shoes with good grip.
• Water bottles or bladder min 1 litre
• Personal first aid, blister kit, medications
• Whistle
• Mobile phone (fully charged)

Optional

• Walking poles
• Sun cream, sun glasses, sun hat, buff
• Sit mat or light blanket square for your comfort

Please note: You must begin the walk with water and personal snacks sufficient for the start to brunch

Ranger Expeditions’ Kinder Scout Afternoon Tea On The Hill is a guided walk with a maximum of 8 guests to enjoy all the tranquility of the walk and a quality experience. 

Please note: Our brunch may not be suitable for participants who follow more restricted diets such as vegan or have specific requirements.  While every care is taken with the food items, we cannot guarantee that food is free from nuts, dairy, wheat, soy, shellfish or other allergens. If participants are in any doubt, we recommend bringing your own suitable food items.

Photography: Complimentary photos of your day with us are made available to download via our social media platform. If you do not want your photograph to be taken please let us know on the day so we can respect your wishes.

Dogs: We love our four-legged friends. But for practical reasons, we’re sorry dogs are not permitted on this walk.
