Our race this year is being run in memory of Alan Jones, a great man who was always on hand to help in any way that he was needed.
This year will be the 37th staging of our Road Race after having a cancelled race in 2020 and a Charity Virtual event in 2021. Well this year we want the runners back!! We have a beautiful undulating route with views of the Pentland Hills as well as fantastic support before during and after the race.
Things may be slightly different to previous years, possibly no changing facilities and no prize-giving accompanied by our home-baking but we will do what we can to make you very welcome.We are based in the Playing Fields for 'everything'.
Runners must stay in the field for any warm up and then they will be called to the top gate and all taken onto the road once we have the go-ahead from the Police that the roads have been closed. The roads are closed to traffic until runners get to the top of Pomathorn thereafter runners must stay on the pavements (where there is one) and adhere to marshal instructions at all times.
We are welcoming 'entries on the day' and will order extra medals but we cannot guarantee a 'medal on the day' for those entering on the day. We can however guarantee that they will have a medal within the week.
Registration will open at 9am and close at 10.45am
