This is the 36th running of our traditional fell race over 7 miles (11.2km) and 400 metres of ascent. The race starts at 2.15pm, you must have collected your number by 2.00pm.
Taking in the beautiful hills of Hutton Roof Crags and Farleton Knott, the run follows established paths and routes are partially marked. We will again omit the scree on Farleton as a result of the ongoing concerns from Natural England which we fully understand and support.
Generous prizes supported by Pete Bland Sports will be awarded for male and female open and vet categories through to Vet 80, including cups for first and second male and first lady.
Some navigation is now required to follow guidance and our license through the Fell Runners Association. Checkpoints and basic route maps are accessible from the Hutton Roof Village website -

Electronic timing and results are provided by Sport Ident with on-line displays throughout the afternoon.

We are delighted that our country fair and junior races will be held this year and are of course baking our fantastic cakes and selling refreshments at the Village Hall. Junior categories of U9/U11, U13/U15, U17/U19 are £3.50 and on the day entry only (minimum age 6 years on the day). Junior Races start at 1.15pm and registration closes at 1pm.
Car parking, donations requested, will be on the field adjacent to the Village Hall and traffic can be busy around the country lanes and main routes with bank holiday traffic, so please aim to arrive in good time. The car park will open at 11am.
We were grateful to the over 200 senior racers who attended our revamped 2021 event last October, with amazing feedback from everyone for this great traditional fell race and we look forward to welcoming you all back this year.
Best wishes and good luck!
