There are maps still available on all courses, except Black and Brown. South London Orienteers are offering a Level B National Event hosting the OK Nuts Trophy Championships 2021.
It is really important that we are seen to take the protocols seriously, before, during and after racing so please read and abide by the COVID-19 Code of Conduct (available from the British Orienteering website)
Parking is in a slightly sloping field and a nearby small area of hard standing which will also be the location of download and SIAC Hire.
There are two Starts - the Near Start is 225m from the car park and the Far Start is 950m from the car park. Start times are from 10:00 to 12:00 - you will be requested to select a precise start time as part of the entry process. There is one Finish will be 150m from the Car Park.
We will operate a Waiting List system if a course hits capacity. Therefore, if you enter and cannot come to the event, please email us so we can free up the entry for someone else.
All controls and the Finish will be SIAC enabled.
If you would like to run in the age class competition please choose the age class you want to run, not the colour – you are free to run up if you wish but you must select the specific age class you wish to run for to be competitve in the OK Nuts Trophy Championships. If you wish to run a colour that you are not eligible to run under the age class system please select the colour and “Other” category – e.g. “Green Other” if you wish to run Green but are not eligible to run in any of the allocated age classes. All results will be driven off the age class you enter for OK Nuts Trophy. Please note that your actual age class will also be shown as part of the results at both Course and Age Class level.
Dogs: Well behaved dogs permitted in the parking field on a lead.
Short Green to Black courses use the scarp slope of Leith Hill and pass close to Leith Hill Tower, which at its top of 313 metres is the highest point in southern England. These courses have two road crossings and are mostly in mature woodland with good runnability. In the later part they cross a short section of parkland and then pass back into woodland, leading to an uphill finish. The White to Very Short Green courses have no raod crossings.
Competitors on Black and Brown Courses
The Black and Brown Courses have over 30 controls on each course. If you have a version 5 SI card (numbers 1 - 499,999) or a version 8 SI Card (numbers 2,000,001 - 2,999,999) these will not have sufficient capacity. Please hire a SIAC during the entry process.
