From the historic Church of Holdgate in the heart of the Corvedale the route climbs to Abdon Burf, the highest point in Shropshire. Both routes return via the Jack Mytton Way to Tugford.  The short route then returns to Holdgate while the long route climbs Wenlock Edge for superb views out to Mid Wales.

There will be 2 checkpoints on the long route and one on the short route to ensure that you are properly refreshed and hot dogs (included in entry fee) to welcome you home.

Those of you who have done the Wenlock Olympian Walk will know about the wonderful cakes that you enjoyed at Holdgate Church. The Church is a grade 1 listed building with only 34 parishioners who are valiantly trying to ensure that, having been the heart of their community since the 12th century, the church will keep its doors open for the next generation. The members of the church have been a great support to the Marches group in supporting the WOW and we are saying thank you by holding this event to support them.
