Here it comes, round 2 of our 2022 GAP MTB Kids Enduro Series for ages 8-16. This is a fun, non-competitive event and is the perfect opportunity for those interested in enduro to gain some race experience in a relaxed atmosphere.
Check-in from 9am. Finish time between 3 & 4pm approx.
Entry will include a coaching session and a mix of timed enduro stages, just like a real race! We always strive to make this a fun learning event which will cater for all rider abilities, and we want to keep things progressing for those who have participated previously by elevating the experience with the introduction of some more technical trails.
Riders can select one of the following categories to ensure they get an experience that is perfectly tailored for their skill level while getting the most out of their coaching and enduro experience:
Beginners
Suitable for those too young or inexperienced to race or riders just starting out. Perfect for kids who want to experience the thrill of enduro racing and receive top-class coaching to refine those fundamental biking skills on blue trails only
Intermediate
Intermediate riders who want to progress from the last event can move onto this grade which will incorporate blue and red trails and work on more advanced riding techniques in their coaching session. There will be an additional new ‘bonus track’ for this group
Advanced
Incorporating more technical trails to progress riders from the last event and prepare them for racing. Coaching sessions will be geared towards more advanced riders and techniques. There will also be a new ‘bonus track’ to compliment the enduro stages.
There'll be top-class coaches on-site all day who are TCL qualified and have raced at both National and International level, so your little shredders are in good hands!
All participants will receive a high-quality GAP MTB goody bag with incredible contents including merchandise which is exclusive to Kids Enduro Riders – you won’t find it anywhere else!
All participants will need to have a Cycling Ireland licence to take part, and this will also give you an opportunity to join our club GAP MTB where you’ll receive exclusive perks throughout the remainder of the year:
All riders must wear a full-face helmet, elbow and knee pads. Body armour is also recommended.
Children should bring lots of snacks and water for throughout the day.
Please bring a packed lunch or food can be purchased at The GAP Kitchen.
