Don't miss the event of the year! GAP MTB are hosting our very first Youth Downhill Day at Ireland's number 1 uplift venue - The GAP. This training experience is open to all riders aged 8-16 from beginners to advanced and will include coaching with top trainers and some HUGE names in the racing world. Entry will also include a full day of uplifts and your coach and mentor will take you through all aspects of downhill including track walks, section sessioning & full runs.
Check-in from 9am with the event starting at 10am and will run through until 3 or 4pm approx. depending on the group. Exact times will be confirmed closer to the day.
We always strive to make our youth training days a fun learning event which cater for all rider abilities. Riders can select one of the following categories to ensure they get an experience that is perfectly tailored for their skill level while getting the most out of their coaching and downhill experience:
There'll be top-class coaches on-site all day who are TCL qualified and have raced at both National and International level, and they'll be teaming up with some big names in the racing scene.
All participants will receive a top-quality GAP MTB goody bag with cool contents including merchandise which is exclusive to GAP MTB Youth DH Riders.
All riders will need to have a Cycling Ireland licence to take part, and this will also give you an opportunity to join our club GAP MTB where you’ll receive exclusive perks throughout the remainder of the year:
All riders must wear a full-face helmet, body armour, elbow and knee pads.
Children should bring lots of snacks and water for throughout the day.
Please bring a packed lunch or food can be purchased at The GAP Kitchen.
