KFO Xmas Orienteering Event at Lochore Meadows

Kingdom of Fife Orienteers are staging a special orienteering event at Lochore Meadows in Fife.
This will be suitable for all abilities, from those just starting out to people who have been orienteering on many previous occasions.
This will be a “score” competition. That means you get a map with all the controls on it but no route. You must get to as many as you can within the time limit.
There will be lots of controls close to the start for the youngest children to find. And there will be a couple (with big points) a long way off for our fastest runners and experienced orienteers to try to get to.
We will have a two options Long (40 minutes) and Short (30 minutes). There will be a mass start. Everyone will start at 11:00am
After we have finished the Willie Clarke Café in the country park is available for soup and sandwiches. This will give everyone a chance to chat about the event and meet other orienteers. Last year we booked a room but this year we will just be using the public café
There is an option to indicate if think you might go to the café afterwards. This isn’t a binding commitment, it’s just to let the café know how many people they might expect.
We are keeping the entry fees as low as we can to encourage everyone to come along.
