Start and finish - The Claddagh (GR38505 93915)
Race starts at 10 am. Sign on at The Claddagh camp site from 9 to 9.45.
The route follows the public footpath up the Sulby Valley, crossing the river by the foot bridge. There is then a rare opportunity to ascend to Mount Karrin summit. The steep sided Tholt -y-Will Plantation is crossed to reach the Block Eary Tholtan, with a further ascent to Creg Bedn (white rock). The route returns to the start via the Slieau Managh and Ohio Plantations.
Notes for recceing: Mount Karrin is private land with access only available on race day.

The route covers large sections of open fell without paths and includes some very steep terrain. Self-navigation skills are required.
Minimum age of entry is 18 years (but must turn 19 by 31st December ).
Races are held under FRA rules, please read these here . Waterproof whole body cover (with hood and taped seams), hat, gloves, map and compass suitable for navigation, whistle and emergency food must be worn/carried by runners.
The race is a counter for the Callin Wild Manx Fell Running league. Please note that to be eligible for the league you must join MFR or a suitable IoM athletics club by 18/06/2024, and also cover a marshal slot in 2024.
