Derwentside A.C look forward to welcoming you to this years Hellhole Trail Race.
Our new trail based route was popular last year and we have tweaked the course to make it more scenic and fun. It still visits local scenic woodlands including Hellhole Wood.
The course is approximately 5 miles long and has less tarmac and more woodland trail than before the pandemic!
MAIN PARKING IS AT SHIELD ROW PRIMARY SCHOOL. From 8:00
Race starts 10:00am sharp
Shield Row School have allowed us to use the car park and grounds.
School address: King Edward VIII Terrace, DH9 0HQ.
Please park responsibly, car share where possible and arrive in plenty of time to collect your number.
Online entries by the end of August guaranteed event mug and goodie bag.
Online entries from September 1st and on the day entries if available: goody bag, and mug not guaranteed. Price increase of £2.00 for entries on the day.
Race registration is in the Ball Alley Beer Garden, a short walk from the school car park and then it’s just a 2 minute walk to the start line.
The Race presentation will be held in the beer garden too. The pub will be open for refreshments also.

The race is run under UK Athletics rules, is licensed by the Trail Runners Association. The minimum age for entering the race is 16 years old on 15th September 2024.
