Welcome to the Cumbrian Galoppen and Junior Interland Selection Race at Haverigg Bent Hills, an area of sand dunes next to the mouth of the Duddon Estuary, with the map extended seawards in 2023, courses may visit areas usually covered in high tides, some water features may be tidal as well as seasonal.
The usual range of Galoppen courses will be available from Yellow to Brown for all competitors. We are also welcoming any Juniors wishing to be selected for Interland 2025, there are specific courses for you to enter, please ensure you enter the correct course.
Courses for Interland Selection:
M/W14: L Green – M/W14
W16: Green – W16
M16: Blue – M16
W18: Blue – W18
M18: Brown – M18
Parking, Assembly, enquiries, download and first aid will all be in the Millom Rugby Club – please remove any spikes or muddy shoes before entering the building.

England Interland Junior Team Selection
Haverigg Bent Hills is also a selection Race for the 2025 Interland Junior Team. Juniors who wish their results to be considered as part of the selection process must read the Selection Policy posted on the England Orienteering website (https://orienteeringengland.org.uk/). In particular, athletes should enter the correct course for their age class in 2025. Start times will be allocated after entries close for Juniors entered on the Interland courses only, please select a preferred start block from the options available. When entering please select the Course with the relevant age class attached to it for this purpose, e.g. if M18 in 2025 then select ‘Brown - M18’.
